Prison Life: The View from Inside
Victim advocates will get a glimpse of what life is like inside a Department of Corrections state correctional institution. Karen Laird and Pam Behr, from the PA Office of the Victim Advocate and special guests from the Department of Corrections will review the programs, goals, and daily experiences of prison life. A former DOC inmate will also share their experience while serving a sentence with the DOC.
This training will give you some answers to the questions victims and their families ask regarding what defendants experience after conviction, when they enter the state prison system. Questions are always welcome; please bring any you have with you to the training.
