Basic Prosecutors Course

The purpose of the course is to prepare newly hired assistant district attorneys to make the transition from law student to prosecutor.  The course will start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 9, and end at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12.  The three and a half day course is in lecture, demonstration and practical exercise format. 

The PDAI will pay for single occupancy accommodations (room and tax only) on Monday through Wednesday nights.   The PDAI will also provide breakfast Monday through Wednesday, however, lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.   

CLE Credits:  The Basic Prosecutor’s Course is approved for 20 substantive Continuing Legal Education credits.  The cost of taking the course for credit is $300; there is no charge for those who take the course without credit. 

Please complete the attached registration form and mail or fax it to the PDAI.   All registrations must reach the PDAI staff no later than Friday, May 2, 2008Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to the first 50 registrants.  PDAI will maintain a waiting list and notify prospective students if an opening becomes available.

The Child Abuse Coalition** meets quarterly at the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Institute headquarters.  The Coalition is a forum for child abuse prosecutors to meet and discuss cases of mutual interest, as well as receive the latest news on legislation and case law.
