Northampton County Assistant District Attorney

This full-time position involves handling an active caseload of criminal prosecutions.  Responsibilities include court appearances, legal research, and legal writing.  ADAs are expected to routinely appear before Court of Common Pleas judges and Magisterial District Judges for a variety of proceedings, including preliminary hearings, arraignments, pre-trial litigation, guilty plea proceedings, and bench and jury trials. In addition to their individual caseload, ADAs also receive rotating assignments in bail court, miscellaneous court, and on-call duty.  This position requires frequent interaction with victims, witnesses, and law enforcement personnel.

Candidates must in good standing and admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.  Previous prosecutorial experience preferred, but not required.

Salary: approximately $65,535 and benefits. Negotiable based on experience. Multiple positions available.
