Northampton County Deputy District Attorney – Chief of Appellate Unit

This full-time position involves handling all criminal appellate matters for the District Attorney’s Office. This includes all state direct and collateral appeals, as well as all federal habeas corpus appeals. Responsibilities include briefing and oral argument.  Position requires extensive legal research and writing. In addition to appellate matters, all attorneys also receive rotating assignments in bail court, miscellaneous court, and summary appeals.

Candidates must in good standing and admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania. Previous appellate experience required.  Prosecutorial experience preferred, but not required.

Salary: Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience.
