PDAI Victim/Witness Training Consultant
The Pennsylvania District Attorneys Institute (PDAI) is seeking a highly qualified Victim/Witness Training Consultant to plan and implement training for victim service providers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This position is dependent upon the receipt of grant funding and is for a three-year period beginning January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2028.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare for and host quarterly meetings of the Victim/Witness subcommittee which will assist in the development of curriculum for Foundational and Topical trainings.
- Prepare for and implement Victim/Witness trainings in accordance with standards provided by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). Over the course of two years, the consultant must complete:
- Six three-day Foundational Academies for newly hired victim advocates
- Ten topical trainings
- Coordinate all administrative details necessary to present courses, including:
- completing a competitive bidding process to determine course locations
- negotiating contracts with selected venues
- marketing of all courses
- development and provision of all course materials
- processing of incoming course registration checks: charging of fees to appropriate accounts, recording payments on Excel spreadsheets, and forwarding checks to PDAA Business Manager for deposit
- maintaining all registration/financial records using Excel spreadsheets for reconciliation with accounting records and for purposes of annual audit
- entering all attendee registration information in computerized registration package
- emailing confirmation letters to attendees
- preparing certificates (when applicable), nametags, and rosters for all courses
- administering the course on-site or virtually
- obtaining requests for reimbursement
- compiling the results of course evaluations for distribution
- Oversee compliance and compensation for all applicable continuing and professional education credits/units, including CEU, Act 48, PSNA, CLE and CE
- Provide quarterly updates to PDAI in compliance with the grant requirements of PCCD
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A demonstrated history of developing and implementing training courses for victim service providers
- A demonstrated history of working with a multi-disciplinary group to develop training curriculum
- Familiarity with GlueUp customer service software
- Familiarity with Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with the PCCD eGrants system
- The ability to travel overnight both in and out of state
- Experience with the RFP process and conference/training contracting
- The ability to professionally represent the PDAI and PCCD
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Mathematical and analytical skills
- Experience with facilitation of meetings and group discussions
