In Memoriam: Leonard Simpson 1949-2021

It is with much regret that I write to inform the membership that District Attorney Leonard Simpson of Sullivan County passed away suddenly on Monday. Considering his almost 30 years of service as DA (1977-1993, 2008 to present), this is a devastating loss to the people of Sullivan County. Len had a sharp mind and generous spirit. I have many fond memories of time spent with him at various trainings and meetings over the years, including the recent BBQ at PDAA HQ. I’m at a loss for words right now, but suffice it to say that Len will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Please keep his wife Robin in your thoughts at this difficult time.
