Bucks County Deputy District Attorney – Special Investigations Unit
The new Bucks County District Attorney is committed to rooting out corruption at all levels. Following the DA’s publication of the 2026 Transition Report, the District Attorney’s Office is now seeking a highly experienced prosecutor to help build up its Special Investigations Unit (SIU). The ideal candidate will have significant experience directing long-term investigations, managing attorney personnel, and prosecuting government corruption and misconduct.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Directs investigations, in conjunction with Bucks County Detectives and law enforcement partners, related to public corruption and misconduct, police use-of-force, and other significant long-term investigations within the subject matter area of SIU
- Prosecutes cases from initiation, including pre-trial motions and trial
- Handles an active caseload of SIU and certain major non-SIU cases as assigned
- Handles criminal investigations before the County Investigating Grand Jury
- Performs prosecutorial duties under the provisions of the Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act, 18 Pa.C.S. § 5701 et seq.
- Oversees or supports Brady-Giglio compliance and conviction review
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 8 years of legal experience, including experience as a prosecutor
- Demonstrated ability to direct complex, long-term investigations
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team
Preferred Experience
- Experience investigating and/or prosecuting official misconduct is highly preferred
- Experience managing attorneys is highly preferred
- At least five years of experience as a prosecutor is highly preferred
Salary is expected to exceed $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
