Northumberland County Assistant District Attorney

The Assistant District Attorney is responsible for representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in criminal prosecutions within Northumberland County. This position involves reviewing criminal complaints, conducting hearings and trials, negotiating plea agreements, advising law enforcement, and ensuring that justice is served with integrity, fairness, and professionalism. The ADA must possess strong courtroom skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage a substantial caseload in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in Criminal Law and understanding of Criminal Justice principles
  • Familiarity with legal practices and procedures, including Courts and dealing with Legal Issues
  • Experience collaborating with Law Enforcement and ensuring adherence to legal protocols
  • Effective trial advocacy, legal research, and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania
  • Ability to effectively manage a caseload and meet deadlines
  • Prior experience in prosecution or handling criminal cases is preferred but not required
