PDAA elects Clinton County District Attorney David Strouse as its 2024-25 President
HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association (PDAA) today announced its elected officers for the 2024-25 business year. The election took place during the PDAA’s annual business meeting.

“It is an incredible honor to be chosen by my fellow prosecutors to lead this association,” Strouse said. “I am humbled and grateful for this opportunity, and I look forward to leading our continued efforts to fight for justice for victims and their families, and to improve our justice system.”
PDAA this year prioritized major public safety issues and pledged to work with state lawmakers to find solutions. Strouse said he is looking forward to working with his PDAA colleagues to address these concerns and protect our communities.
“I want to continue to push the association’s efforts to address the major public safety concerns that we have prioritized as an association, especially the lack of appropriate juvenile detention facilities and the growing mental health crisis in all parts of the Commonwealth,” Strouse said. “We, as an association, remain willing and eager to work with lawmakers to find solutions to these problems.”
Strouse has served the people of Clinton County as district attorney since January 2, 2016. He also served as a public defender for more than seven years.
Strouse is an active member of several organizations in his community, including the Criminal Justice Advisory Board, the Victim/Witness Policy Board, the Sexual Assault Response Team, the STOP Violence against Women Grant Coordinating Team, the Multidisciplinary Investigating Team, and the Child Death Review Team. Strouse also is a member of the Clinton County Advocates for a Drug Free Tomorrow.
Born and raised in Clinton County, Strouse is a graduate of Penn State University Altoona campus and Villanova University School of Law. Strouse and his wife, Sara, are raising three sons.
At the annual business meeting, the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Institute (PDAI) also announced its officers for the 2024-25 business year. PDAI is the education and training arm of PDAA, offering continuing legal education training programs and materials for district attorneys and their staff members.

PDAA ensures that prosecutors have the knowledge, skills and support they need by offering:
- Continuing education credits on criminal justice trends and changes in the law
- Support and training for new prosecutors
- Assistance to prosecutors across the state with emerging issues or difficult cases
- Amicus briefs for appellate cases dealing with criminal justice issues
- Advocacy on state legislation that could impact crime victims, law enforcement, or criminal prosecution
