PDAA Issues Statement on the Passing of Former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice J. Michael Eakin

The Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association (PDAA) today issued a statement on the death of former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice J. Michael Eakin, a former district attorney who served as PDAA President in 1993.

“We are saddened to learn about the passing of Justice Mike Eakin, and we offer our condolences to the Eakin family. Justice Eakin was a dedicated public servant who served on the Pennsylvania Judiciary for more than two decades.

From 1984 to 1995, Justice Eakin served the people of Cumberland County as their district attorney, seeking justice for crime victims. An active member of PDAA, Justice Eakin served as the PDAA Education Chair for nine years.

Past and current PDAA members will miss the guidance and friendship of Justice Eakin, and we will keep Justice Eakin and his family in our prayers during this difficult time.”
