Pennsylvania District Attorneys Welcome Executive Director to their Ranks

February 22, 2010

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association (PDAA) today congratulated PDAA Executive Director Mike Piecuch (pronounced “pea-yet-sue”)  for his selection as the new district attorney of Snyder County.

Piecuch, a Snyder County resident, was appointed to fill the unexpired term of former District Attorney Michael Sholley, who was sworn-in as judge of Union and Snyder Counties on January 4.  Piecuch has served in the position of PDAA executive director since January 2009.

“Mike was a welcome addition to our association’s leadership a year ago and now he’s a welcomed addition to the ranks of Pennsylvania’s district attorneys,” said Edward M. Marsico, Jr., PDAA president and district attorney of Dauphin County.  “While the PDAA will certainly miss his day-to-day presence, we aren’t surprised that Snyder County’s leaders recognized that Mike has the kind of experience, knowledge and commitment to community that will make him a first-rate public servant and district attorney.

“On behalf of the Pennsylvania District Attorney Association, its executive board, and staff, we congratulate Mike on his new position and look forward to working with him in his new capacity.”

Piecuch will be sworn-in to his new position after the PDAA Mid-Winter Meeting, which is to be held in Philadelphia, February 8-12.
